Here I am sitting in my air conditioned office. It's 36 degrees celcius outside and my kids are on school holidays.
I started my working day at 10.00am this morning and I am in shorts and a t-shirt! Sound good? I think so. In my opinion, thats one of the best benefits from working from home. My children are off playing in the family room with their big screen TV. I am here to make them lunch, and later on we are off to a friends house for a swim. My day is completely flexible and I can schedule my work around my family. Even when my husband, children and I head off for a month long holiday in a few weeks, I will pack up my laptop and run my business from the beach house that we are renting for the summer.
My life wasn't always this fabulous and in fact it was quite the contrary. I have worked in a number of jobs where I would often work twelve hour shifts and spent most of my time making my boss rich. Although I usually loved my job and the people I worked with, I soon learned that I was never going to advance beyond where I was and my income was limited to the hours I spent at work.
As with any entrepreneur, I felt I deserved a lot better, which is how I ended up where I am today. I now network with like minded individuals committed to creating lifetime wealth. The freedom that I have is amazing. I can work at my own pace, when it suits me, and I have the time to spend with friends and family. Knowing that I can have it all - a successful business and most importantly a successful family is my motivation to continue what I am doing systematically every day.
Probably the best part about what I do is helping others acheive the lifestyle that they have always wanted. One of my girlfriends came to me the other day with the news that she & her husband are expecting their third child. Instead of being excited, she was really worried about how another child would affect their income knowing that putting three children into childcare was not financially viable on her part time salary. Luckily for her, she knew a phone call to me would help her figure out how she can create income from home whilst caring for her young family. After a long conversation and some preliminary planning, she has gone away safe and secure in the knowledge that she has the support of myself and others in our network to help her succeed.
By paying it forward and giving the opportunities I have been presented with to others gives me a great feeling of acheivement. I have always been a team player, and get great satisfaction from helping others to get the most out of their lives too!

Internet Marketing: A mine field!!
If you are an internet business owner like myself, then you would know that marketing your business online can be a complete mine field! There are so many options and tens of thousands of marketing companies out there who claim to be the real deal, offering you the world and delivering nothing.
When I started my first business three years ago, I had no idea how critical internet marketing was to my business. Of course I knew that I needed to market my new online business, but as to where to start, I had no clue... The main problem I found was that I just didnt know what information was credible and what was a load of rubbish. Secondly, as a newbie to the business of e commerce, I was limited on my knowledge of the technical aspect of internet marketing, so I was literally learning a whole new language. Lets just say after wasting A LOT of money and not to mention my valuable time, I was pretty fed up with working my butt off with no return on my investment. Additionally, my business was lagging and I was running out of cash to support it!
Then out of the blue one day I happened to mention to a fellow internet business owner about my frustration and concerns about internet marketing and e-commerce in general. She suggested that I take a look at a company called Carbon Copy Pro started by two self made millionaires which she had been hearing a lot about. With little to lose and everything to gain I decided to take a look at what was on offer. After doing some research and speaking to a number of people, I purchased the Business in a Box (BiB). Within just a few days all the information arrived (and I am in Australia mind you) so I was immediately impressed!
All I can say is that I was so relieved to finally come across a company that clearly knows what to do in order to acheive success in internet marketing. Not only was the information I received dynamic and compelling, but it was so easy to apply. I am so thankful that I now have this valuble tool to use in my business. It spells out EXACTLY how to acheive results and has saved me many hours of wasted time in pursuing internet marketing techniques that are not going to yield the results that I want for my business.
As many of you reading this may identify with, it is almost impossible for any one person to be an expert in every field required in running a business. That is why we have our financial advisor, accountant, solicitor etc to advise us on different aspects of our business! Having the skills of the Carbon Copy Pro professionals in my business is added amunition in my already diverse artillery which allows me to achieve my marketing goals and ensures that I can maintain a competitive, viable and profitable business.
All I can say is that if you are trying to get your own internet business off the ground or you are looking at commencing one, then you would be crazy not to get your own business in a box (BiB). Don't make the mistakes that I did, and save yourself the time, hassle and worry of how to do it - let the experts figure it out for you and all you have to do is apply it! It couldn't be any more simple.

New Home Business Today: Welcome to my blog!

I am an internet business owner, entrepreneur and passionate animal person. I hope that my blog provides you with interesting information about my business journey from employee to employer and all the other adventures I have on a daily basis. There is never a dull moment here so it should make for exciting and some times amusing reading!!!
Along with being a business woman, I am also a devoted wife and mother. After having my children, I knew I didnt want to go back to a boring job which took up all of my time and energy. I wanted to be there for my kids whilst still being able to contribute to my family's lifestyle and income, as well as keep my mind active. This was further concreted by my burning desire to be my own boss and challenge myself to do something dynamic.
Coming from a rural farming area, business opportunities were limited. I had tried to make it before in a multi level marketing businesses, but found it just didnt work for me. I hated having to do "cold calling" and what I felt to be "pushy" marketing. Every time I was rejected by someone it really impacted on my self confidence.
Being the pro active and determined person that I am, I turned to researching online business opportunities to see if I could find something that I could do from home around the hours that suited my busy schedule as a mum and wife. After quite a few months of research, I decided to take the plunge and build my own pet supplies retail website (I am a Veterinary Nurse by profession and a lover of everything to do with animals). After many months of careful planning and excitement I commenced my online business in August 2006. It wasnt long after the launch of my new business that I soon realised how little I knew about marketing on the internet. It was all very confusing and technical and I felt completely overwhelmed by the multitude of information & more importantly who to believe. One particular day during a conversation with another online colleague she mentioned a marketing system that she had been recommended to help her with her own business. It sounded like just the thing I needed to de-mystify the whole internet marketing process, so I decided to take a look into it for myself and made the best purchase I could ever have made.
That was the day my life as an internet business owner changed forever! After just a few weeks of being involved and putting the marketing system into practice, results were already evident. The best thing for me was that I finally felt in control of my own future. It was an amazing feeling!! For too long I had plodded along flying by the seat of my pants without really knowing and understanding what I was doing or why I was doing it. This marketing system gave me complete step by step instructions on how to get the results that I wanted to achieve.
The last 3 years has been a pretty steep learning curve for me, but the great thing is I now know so much more that I ever thought possible. No only that, I am having a great time seeing how much I can achieve and doing it on my terms which is very liberating!
